Seriously! After making my own granola, and seeing just how easy it is, I don’t think I will ever spend money on it again, ever! It’s so fool proof, and you can put pretty much anything you like in it. I’m going to actually try mimicking this chocolate & berry granola that we love. We get it from Costco, but we go through it so dang fast, so it will be so much more practical if I can figure out how to make it. But This basic honey & chia seed one has been staple for us these past few weeks. Without further ado, here it is!!!
——————>>> Combine in a large bowl
3 cups rolled oats (not instant oats)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon Chia seeds
Pour 1/3 cup honey over top
In microwavable bowl, melt 3 Tablespoons coconut oil, then add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Add to the mixture of oats and stir until all the oats are coated.
Pour oats onto a wax/parchment paper lined cookie sheet & spread them out. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minute.
Pour oats onto a separate sheet of parchment paper to cool. After about 20 minutes, break apart! (make sure you lay them out on a NEW piece of paper. I made the mistake of not doing that the first time, it was a PAIN getting the granola off the sheet)
Enjoy however you like. We like ours w/Greek yogurt & berries, or goats milk, and sometimes plain for a snack. Store the rest in an air tight container and save for later ❤ ❤ ❤
Thanks for reading loves!
