TUESDAY TALK: Count your blessings

Though it is not always easy, it’s like a habit, it becomes easier to be grateful the more you are.  I’ve noticed that when things get stressful, the best thing to calm your nerves is count your blessings.  I realize that sounds cliche but honestly think about it, if you’re dwelling on the things that are going wrong, that’s all you’re brain is focused on so it will emit the only emotion it can associate with stress and worry…MORE stress and worry.  But if you take a moment to realize all that is good, you start to notice more and more how kind god can be.  Or the universe (depending on what you believe I suppose) but the fact remains the same, that being positive emits positive.

Just remember “Life is Good”

Is it true that counting your blessings/being positive will make you happier & healthier.  Well weather you look at it from a religious point of view or medical point of view the answer is “YES”

Try it out this week, get a notebook and write down some blessings from that day, or count them as you fall asleep.  Do this every day and I guarantee by the end of the week you’ll feel different (in a good way 🙂 )
